Well Deserved Second Chance...

When I missed United first match against Malaysia on Saturday, I was upset. I lose the chance to watch closely the club that I have supported in my whole life. It was a real kick in the teeth.....I only managed to watch the live telecast on tv, in which a bit of consolation for me..

However, I got my second chance as United cancel their trip to Jakarta due to the bombing incidents. Add to that, they going to play another match with Malaysia. And little time did I waste to grabbed the tickets...and here we come...

I managed to persuade Faizal and Aiin to came along. I did asked Habiel and Arm to come along, but it was Monday and they had a class on the evening. It could have been more merrier. We drove as early as 4pm from the college to avoid the heavy traffic jam. We managed to arrived in just one hour.

Mind you, better buy the t - shirt at the pasar malam. Everything was expensive. Even a bottle of minerals (500 ml) cost you RM2!! A plain burger without salad is RM2.50!! It's nothing personal, just bussines anyway.......

United fans from all walks of life flocked into the stadium. We were lucky to be among the early birds. We got ourself one hour queuing before they open the gate. Nevermind, anything for the Red's though... Still, 3 hours left before the kickoff.

The attendances was a far cry from the previous match. Maybe it was Monday. But still it was a good crowds and great atmospehere around the stadium. We managed to get ourself seats in the mid section and close enough to watch the Red Devils.

Here we are..patienly waiting for the kickoff ( a bit hungry though )

United began their warm up session.

United's starting line up of the nite

A minute of silence to respect and commemorate the tragedy of Jakarta's bombing incidents

United celebrates their 2nd goal of the match trough new - signing, Micheal Owen. His 2nd consecutive goal of the pre-season. Owen's received a huge intentions among the local fans, especially from the feminines.

At half time, United were up 2 - 0 as we savoured our first meals of the day!!

Rooney received huge roars among the crowd as he was introduced at the second half. At a point, he displayed his famous temper. He made an awful tackle against one of Malaysian player.

So that's it. As the final whistle blew, United won 2 - 0. Goals came through from Kiko Macheda and Micheal Owen. Malaysia did produced a good game. However, it was far below the performance from the previous match. Still, it was a good lesson for Malaysia football. We're not that bad, it just that there's a room needed to be rectify and I'm sure, if the everything goes well, we'll have a Malaysian playing in the English Premier League, sooner rather than later.....

Something that I would treasure for the rest of my life....

It was a nice experience. I could never been happier to see them in front of me. Hopefully they will come again next year. It could be possible, from the unbeliveable reception and energetic atmosphere the Malaysia fans gave to them....

So what now? Going to Theatre of Dream??? Who knows...
